My name is Melissa, but friends and family call me Mel! I live in Fargo, ND with my husband and two sons. I run a photography business that is making the transition into commercial and branding photography.

But I’m not a “photographer.”

I am an artist.

My medium is the photograph.

My art: Storytelling. 

A few years ago my husband asked “If you could do anything you wanted, what would it be?”  and I’m sure you can guess what my reply was.  “A photographer.” 

After that day, we made a trip to Target, bought my first camera, and I started this journey and he continues to be my biggest supporter!

I have always been obsessed with images and the emotions and feelings they invoke. I have never been one that is good with words so photography is my creative outlet to tell my story, leave my mark on the world, and help YOU do the same!
